It’s been a brutal year for Silicon Valley, with dozens of mass layoffs and company reorganizations. Ashley Goodall, a former tech executive and the author of the forthcoming book, “The Problem with Change,” believes that this is a byproduct of C.E.O.s trying to please shareholders and that we have corporate success all wrong.
