Hi friends! How are you? Happy Friday to ya! What’s going on this weekend? P has a basketball game, some friends are having a party, and Liv and I have a fun volunteer event. I’m planning on a Sculpt Society workout between the adventures. I hope you have a happy weekend ahead! It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below. (the brisket…

I don’t really like to exercise. Okay, I kind of like picking up heavy weights and doing handstands. But I certainly don’t love “cardio.” Rather than nerd out about biomechanics, I’m more interested in anthropology and human behavior. Rather than going to run a 5K, I’d rather sit on my couch and play Fallout 4 I (just watched the show, it’s fantastic.) What I’m trying to say is I’m not a fitness nerd. I’m a nerd who tries to be fit. So if you’re somebody who also just doesn’t “like to exercise,” you are in good company. I also have…

The kids are at a fun camp and I have back-to-back podcast interviews and client calls. I’m hoping I can sneak away for a yoga class tonight! For today’s post, I wanted to chat about collagen. Collagen is a vital protein in our bodies, playing a crucial role in maintaining the health and elasticity of our skin, hair, nails, and joints. It’s the main component of connective tissues and helps keep our skin looking youthful and radiant. However, as…

Today I’m going to teach you a valuable lesson about time from a giant tree. No, not Groot. Redwoods. If you drive down the Avenue of the Giants in Northern California, you’ll find yourself weaving in and out of some of the most majestic, gigantic redwood trees you’ll ever see. If you’re having trouble picturing this in your mind, think back to the Endor speeder chase scene in The Return of the Jedi. This scene was filmed near the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. And as you’re driving down the Avenue of the Giants, you’ll eventually…

Hi friends! I’m SO excited for today’s podcast interview. Since I had my eye issues last year, I’ve wanted to have an eye doctor on the podcast to talk about dry eyes, but I was waiting until I found the perfect one. I found Dr. Friederich through his product, Eyeganics, which is the ONLY certified organic eye drop in the entire world. When I found Eyeganics, I wanted to cry happy tears because I’ve been putting sketchy eye drops in my eyes for almost an entire year. I’m so grateful for the works he’s doing, and he does an incredible…

This post is a full review of my experience at the Biohacking Conference, hosted by Dave Asprey, in Dallas, TX. I’m grateful that a media VIP pass was provided to attend this amazing experience.  Hi friends! How are you? I hope that you’re having a wonderful morning so far! I’m back in Tucson after an inspiring and transformational trip to Texas last week to attend the Biohacking Conference. To be totally honest, I’ve been feeling pretty blah about fitness and health conferences lately. There hasn’t been anything that’s caught my eye, and usually conferences are a chance to learn more…

In 2009, I was an enthusiastic, optimistic, and slightly (very) naive nerd who started NerdFitness.com to help other nerds level up their lives and live a tiny bit better. Since then, I’ve done my best to build an identity as a lifelong learner who isn’t tied to a specific ideology or philosophy. This meant I got plenty of things right, and I also managed to get plenty of things wrong. Certain views I held in the past were factually incorrect. While others were “correct,” but turned out to be ineffective and unhelpful. As I continue my 15th year of Nerd…
