Concerns over elevated lead levels have prompted multiple recalls of ground cinnamon products over the last year. Now, a new Consumer Reports analysis is warning that the issue may be even more widespread than we thought. New research has discovered it’s likely that skin and hair care products are exposing children to potentially harmful endocrine-disrupting chemicals. The study, published last week in Environmental Health Perspectives, collected urine samples from 630 kids ages 4 to 8 after parents were asked to fill out questionnaires about the exact types and brands of skin and hair care products used on the children in the past 24 hours.
